Vivus, no-one actively involved in the argument believes that background radiation is _perfectly_ uniform. You're the one dragging the argument out over what was said informally by leaping on a few words that could only be taken to mean he absolutely believed it was uniform by taking them out of context with the rest of his post.
Yes, you win the battle of "he said the word uniform at a certain point in time without prior modification via the use of a word such as 'generally'" but that battle is totally without merit to anyone with an ounce of reading comprehension as he then went on to clarify his stance. You could say that I claimed you were dead at some point in this next sentence:
You are dead wrong.
but that's only if you choose to focus on a specific part of the statement, instead of looking at the big picture. Words are as much a part of a sentence's value as sentences are of a paragraph's.
It is only you trolling over this, and it's pointless as there's so much of consequence to be right about than focusing on something as trifling as the use of a word in a (then) informal setting. Get around to arguing about something worth arguing about unless of course you're scared you can't win any of the real battles.
If you were as intelligent as you like to make out you would have seen that while they are not coming out and black and white saying "No it's not uniform" in response to your mewling demands, they DO NOT NEED TO because to do so is irrelevant in light of everything else they have said. In fact, you even jumped on some girl on page 2 when she said it was "relatively uniform" with a comment to the effect of "actually it's not uniform". No **** Sherlock. You're so hung up on telling people who know it isn't uniform that "guess what, it isn't uniform" (and then trying to make them say it afterwards to 'prove you right') that they've all got fed up and ****** off out of the thread - and to be honest leaving you on your own is probably for the best as you've now fallen into some childlike, insular, argumentive state, completely focused on an conflict that by all rights wouldn't exist without you. But well done, you made it and won it right there in your own mind and I'm sure that's very important to you.
To everyone else: yes I realise the futility in trying to affect the view of someone so vehemently stubborn, but I just felt I needed to try. I won't waste any more energy on it.
